Re: Sg law on sex related isuue and and some of the most asked questions in the forum
So just to confirm, its a legal loophole that is pretty uncharted(in terms of prosecution) for my cousin(13) to patronize a desker road hooker?
It is meant to say, if caught by anyone, the desker road hooker will be let off(with the understanding, she has to service almost anyone with cash) and my cousin is not breaking any laws himself by choosing to patronize her? |

Re: Sg law on sex related isuue and and some of the most asked questions in the forum
1. did u read post 40 like i suggested??? MINOR doesnt refer to just girls..
2. loopholes are loopholes and there is no "LEGAL" loophole.... 3. r u right that WL has to service almost anyone with cash.. BUT NOT everyone. the law isnt just white and black.. neither is it very often a straight yes or no.. it involves alot of other issues.. that is why u need to engage(pay) a lawyer. Quote:

If you doubt what i say... all you need to do is do a reseach on Shankar Aiyar case.

Punishment for attempting to commit offences. 511. Whoever attempts to commit an offence punishable by this Code or by any other written law with imprisonment or fine or with a combination of such punishments, or attempts to cause such an offence to be committed, and in such attempt does any act towards the commission of the offence, shall, where no express provision is made by this Code or by such other written law, as the case may be, for the punishment of such attempt, be punished with such punishment as is provided for the offence: Provided that any term of imprisonment imposed shall not exceed one-half of the longest term provided for the offence. Illustrations (a) A makes an attempt to steal some jewels by breaking open a box, and finds after so opening the box that there is no jewel in it. He has done an act towards the commission of theft, and therefore is guilty under this section. (b) A makes an attempt to pick the pocket of Z by thrusting his hand into Z’s pocket. A fails in the attempt in consequence of Z’s having nothing in his pocket. A is guilty under this section. |

Crimes which may result in caning
Outrage of modesty is one of them. for Rape, it is at least twelve strokes Caning in the city-state of Singapore is used as a form of corporal punishment for criminal offences. Caning was introduced to Singapore by the British when they controlled Singapore as part of their colonial empire. More than one thousand convicted criminals are caned in Singapore each year for both violent and non-violent offences such as vandalism, overstaying one's visa or illegal immigration. Current caning procedures are carried out not in the public's view, with the subject to be caned strapped to a metal frame with the buttocks exposed. The bamboo cane has been soaked in water overnight to prevent the cane from splitting and to maximize inflicted pain. Parts of the prisoner's body are padded to prevent accidental damaging of the kidneys, but the procedure can still leave permanent scars on the subject. Quote:

more on caning in singapore
Sections 227 to 233 of the Criminal Procedure Code addresses the caning procedures to be adhered to, including: a. The subject may be caned if he is male, is below the age of fifty, and is certified medically fit by a medical doctor. b. The subject will be caned up to a maximum of twenty-four strokes, irrespective of the total number of offences convicted. c. Should the subject be a youth, he may be caned up to ten strokes, using a light rattan. d. The subject will not be caned if he has been sentenced to death. e. The rattan shall be not more than 1.27 centimetres in diameter. f. The caning procedure will only be carried out in the presence of a medical doctor, who will certify the subject prior to the caning procedure and check him after every stroke has been meted out. Although caning is mandatory for certain offences, the legislation provides for exceptions to be made, which may come in the form of an alternative sentencing or it may be replaced by an imprisonment term of up to twelve months. Crimes which may result in caning i will only list down those crime directly or indirectly related to "sex" a. Outrage of modesty: b. Rape: At least twelve strokes c. Sodomy d. Assault or use of criminal force to a person with intent to outrage modesty e. Kidnapping f. Extortion g. others inclide Unlawful overstay in Singapore for over ninety days: At least three strokes and many other not related to sex... so i left them out... interesting pt to note is Robbery: At least six strokes, but If committed after 7 p.m. and before 7 a.m: At least twelve strokes. |

CHILD pornography
what was said in chats or e-mail messages may also reveal if the accused had assessed whether real children were used. All this will help establish a definite pattern of planning, practice and intent. Meanwhile, Singaporeans looking for child porn, real or virtual, on the Internet, be warned even if there is no specific law against it yet: Police from the US, Australia, Britain and France are tracking you too. These specialists trawl the Internet for paedophiles, monitoring chatlines and forums to identify those who use the Internet to get child porn and kids for sex. Since July 2003, more than 6,000 arrests worldwide have been made, 85 per cent of whom were non-US citizens who were nabbed when they crossed US borders. full report here http://forum.sammyboy.com/showpost.p...7&postcount=15 |
