What a coincidence, I was at YangGuiFei 6c6c last night... ordered a beer just in time for the PPC. Total 17 singers - 1 SYT, the rest average, at least no over-the-hill type. That night biggest single flower is $200, there are some multiple of $100s. There is one male singer; and the musician can belt out good cantonese songs. Layout is a rectangle with the stage on one long side like Club 188 also has 2or 3 rooms and pool table. Breadth-wise bigger than 188, can accomodate more rows of table, decor more classy. If it increases the number of singers and quality-wise, it can compete with the established ones. Already it is a challenge to 188. Worth another recce after CNY.

On my way out, passed by ShenQi, was considering to 6c6c but later decided to give it a miss since it was passed PPC time, not much to see. Otherwise, could have met you unknowingly.

Singers' standard very low (compared to the past) considering that it is DC after all, not some hopeless hole in the wall in Geylang without name (hint, hint). Maybe the angpai are still holidaying back in China.

The dancing group also lousy; claim to be from Jiling Northeast of China. Good try at bluffing. The complexion, height, bodyshape, skin colour, facial features, speaking/singing intonation, even the way they stand are definitely not NE Chinese.

Probably just a group of MLY gals counterfeiting as NE Chinese.
