D person there will ask u to give him sgd $ 1st, n ask u to come n take thb the next day as they dun have so much thb on hand. And also to close d deal. He will then issue u a receipt.
If u knw when u goin 2 travel, say maybe a mth b4, he can offer u a best rate n if a mth later, rate increase..ur deal will still be based on d higher rate as of to-date. (Tis is wat he told me tis year)

Rate has over last week gone up favourably, hovering about 23.35+. Why risk this, by paying now before collect next week (no offence to bro eternally)?
And if any bros here are transacting BIG bucks, use tried and trusted routes. Go buy a cashiers order (or bank draft), the bank's TT rates shd more than compensate bank charges.

Honestly how much diff does it make? It would save you all the hassle if you can go to the big money changer and they can deliver to you on the spot. You do have to "shop" around for the best rate though unless you have a regular money changer who will give u good rates.
If >50 notes (does he mean bht50k or??!) --> 23.35.
Over the weekend, most banks did 23.10-23.15. Airport fri did 23.14. Worse rate is Kasikorn (green signage) 23.10, Siam Commercial (purple signage) was better at 23.156. From experience, if you are anywhere UOB Thai -> give the best rate. Else, the smaller Thanachart (orange signage) is not bad.
