I wonder... since HSV II and HPV are skin contact diseases, and according to the statistics every 1 out of 6 person in this world have it, how come the Geylang GRO's are so lucky? In turns, how come the brothers here all so lucky? If we go by the way it works, 1 out of 6 brothers will get HPV or HSV II, or both. (Choi Choi Choi, Pui Pui Pui... touch wood) HPV is not easy to diagnose without symptoms, what if the DSC cannot confirm the HPV presents during the GRO's regular checks? The commercial sex are still ok, at least they check. Imagine those one night stand couples at entertainment outlets. 17% possibilities tio, tio TOTO also not so high chance. Scary, ninabeh... ![]() |

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
Brudders,
IMHO, there is a way to cut down on the risk of Herpes. I got this tip from a doctor friend who cheongs too.... wipe your cock and balls with Betadine before the deed. This is because its a broad spectrum anti-viral / bacterial agent and is widely used in surgical theaters to prevent infection. A condom as all brudders know, only protects the area it actually covers. Your balls and surround areas are still potential trasmission sites. In one study, people who painted their herpes sores with Betadine had less of the virus. Betadine is used to treat people who already have it. Sores are wiped down with Betadine to dry them out. Logically, if you don't have it, a layer of the stuff (long lasting) should give u some protection. http://woundcare.org/newsvol2n2/ar1.htm While you are unlikely to get a WL to paint their CBs with the stuff, you can paint yourself with it. Small plastic bottles of the stuff is available from Guardian pharmacies. In fact, there appears to be evidence that Betadine is effective in reducing HIV. See http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/q...&dopt=Abstract Whenever I get the chance, I put a drop of the liquid at the tip of my cock in addition to putting on a condom for greater protection. Play safe brudders |

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
So you mean we apply the Betadine and then put on the condom? Will there be any adverse reaction or caused the condom to rupture? or skin irritation to us and the woman's vagina?

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
i have been observing closely for past 3 weeks after i visited gl,
at first, i have some swollen dots on the ring which i never come across my mind it may be herpes or something serious. later not feeling rite and i went to visit dr tan in kreta where some bros here recommened. he told me it looks like herpes, then he advise me to go dsc for confirmation. i never go because i fear of the fact and i belive me will affect my concentration as my exam coming soon. So i observed closely, after about 10days, those dots does not form into blister or even open sore. i felt reliefed for awhile. praying very hard is just some normal 'THING'. it is still there with no different appearance. maybe i thrust to hard during my last activity. then 2nites ago, i felt some aching around my genital area. next morning i can see some red dots on the shaft. but is not in group form. today is the second day of the discovery and i still hoping it will not form in groups and become blisters. ptaying very hard. i have some questions to ask bros here, if i dont receive treatment now when i have the sympton, is it still fine when i understand i will suffer more pain on the sore. i plan to go later. really no guts to face it now. the girl in gl dun check for herpes? i keep in touch with that girl which i visited her only past 4mths. she still fine and still working. strange! not fair for the public! bro here with herpes can you tell me what are the steps will the doc in dsc do? i understand that i will stay away from sex......and i already promised myself never visit pros liao and maybe will never start a relationship with any gals ( lucky part is i dont have one now so lesser burden). i belived most gals will not accept if their partner have herpes. i have some many mix feeling and thought now...... |

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
Just go to DSC for a checkup...it may be skin irritation after all...DSC doctor are the experts and they may conduct some test on you...well, at least you know what it is, then to sit at home and guess...
if you leave whatever it is untreated, it may turn into something worst... |

Re: All you need to know about Genital Herpes
Quote:
The Herpes HSV2 infection rate in the general population is around 25 to 30%. In Geylang Whores, the infection rate is probably a lot higher as a result of the multiple sex partners that they have on a daily basis. I would estimate that at least 50% of all the geylang broads are infected with the HSV2 virus. It could be even higher... nobody really knows. However, the majority of people who are infected with the HSV2 virus are asymptotic.. ie they have never had any outbreaks or the outbreaks they had were so minor as to go unnoticed. Nevertheless, those infected are capable of passing the virus to others during periods of asymptotic shedding when the virus travels down the nerves to the skin. However, since no blistering occurs, the person infected is unaware that they are passing the virus on. People who don't exhibit any symptoms of Herpes are not infectious if no viral shedding is occuring. It is estimated that viral shedding occurs 10 to 15 days a year. The rest of the time, there is very little chance of catching the disease. Most people who catch the virus don't end up with any symptoms either so they live their lives unaware that they carry the HSV virus. A husband and a wife could both be infected with Herpes but if neither shows any symptoms of the disease, then it's a non issue as far as the two of them are concerned.
