Bros
Thanks for sharing with us. Personally i learnt alot. Like all bros, we have needs. And one of them is sexual needs. I,myself, wanted to completely give up all commercial sex. But it is very difficult as we keep giving ourself excuses. However, after reading your sharing, it gives me more determination to do so. It is better to masturbed off and regret later.

Thanks again.

Re: Genital herpes Positive - My worst Valentine gift. Don't know how I got it.

Bro,

Thanks very much for sharing your story. I just want to add in my own experience here for more bros who are still contemplating to quit...

I've been in the cheonging scene for quite some time. Maybe 4yrs or so. I became more active in it after my wife got pregnant with my our son. Even before that, we seldom had sex. More like we did it to get her pregnant. Should I put some blame on her at all for my now cheonging addiction? In fact about 2yrs ago, I contracted some kind of STD. The doc didn't tell me what it was, and it just went away after medication. It hasn't recurred since then, and I've continued cheonging after awhile. Trust me, the feeling when you were having wild thoughts whether you'd HIV or STDs was terrible then. I told myself I would stop cheonging. But, sadly, I returned to it. Many bros here will curse me for not learning from mistake. What I want to say here is that it is easier said than to do (quit) it. After reading your story, I'm thinking again to quit. But, I doubt if I can last it. You need alot of determination, plus other factors (your relationship with your wife and family, your sexual urges, etc).

Bros who are contemplating to quit, I hope you get your will to do so. I didn't have that.

Sorry, if my story sounds discouraging to many. But, just really wanted to say something after coming across this thread...

What u can do is:

1. Read FAQs from Herpes Viruses Association (HVA) and Shingles Support Society web site
Home page of the Herpes Viruses Association and Shingles Support Society
Frequently asked questions

2. Go to DSC, see the doc, and request for all the tests that they provide.

Hope the info helps.

Take care.

For bros who have read my postings, I thank u.
If u are determined to quit commercial sex, please persevere even though u may have an unresponsive, unobliging and unreasonable wife.
If u have not, please read my experience again. I kena despite my limited FJs & BJs.

Don't let 10-30 min of sex and 10 sec of cumming lead to lifelong regret and dangers to your family.

Genital herpes take sometime to incubate so, you did not get it from your wife immediately after sex, so I don't think it can be from her. If she had it, she will have complained of pain and itchiness in her vagina already to you unless she knows it and did not bother which I do not think a wife will normally do that. Careful Condom handling is very important so don't think that having a condom means that you are very safe.

Genital herpes is known to gradually subside through the years in carriers (sometimes it does not come back at all) and actually bro, it is very common in the world, so no need to be so negative about everything.

I have friends who have this problem and they are not in anyway inferior, so bro, you need to get your emotional life together.

What you really need right now is a very good counsellor (for both you and your wife) to get grips of the situation. This may actually help your marriage a lot, I can tell you.

It does take sometime to get over it. Seek forgiveness not only from your wife but also yourself and from God. Then, don't CHEONG again for your own and family's sake........
Bro municum,

Thank u for your kind words and advice.
I guess the first few years and the frequency of recurrent infections will be a constant dark reminder to me. Will have to live with the virus since it is incurable for the time being. Hope advanced medical science will bring a cure for genital herpes soon.

As I have related, my wife took my explanation at face value and did not probe much further. Maybe as a bro stated in his PM to me that women prefer to believe in white lie than to face the ugly truth. So far, managed to keep my marriage more or less intact. Hence don;t need to see a marriage counsellor.

Won't cheong anymore. Freaked out already.

U take care too.

Re: Genital herpes Positive - My worst Valentine gift. Don't know how I got it.

There is a cream and also tablets named Zovirax which is quite effective and there are also some cheaper variants that can be used. Your skin specialist can help you in this area.

Don't worry about recurrent infections. Rather treat it like a common cold. After all, you do get the common cold off and on and no one worries about it. The herpes virus is a "cold" virus similar to the chicken pox family. Just be careful and make sure that you don't infect your loved ones. That is a big "no no".

From your posts, I see that you are really traumatized by what happened, so I really recommend that you talk to a counsellor whom you can trust and lay down your burdens once and for all. Life is more than a mistake made and so, get on with it and go on from there.

Take care bro

What cream and where to get?

I am most concerned with my kids. Hope I did not and will not pass to them.
I wash my hands with hand soaps many times a day though i should not, given my dry skin condition.

Re: Genital herpes Positive - My worst Valentine gift. Don't know how I got it.

This is a very common cream and you can get it from any pharmacist. If you want to save some money, ask for a variant that can work just as well. They Pharmacist will definitely be able to assist you.

No need to wash your hands like mad if you did not touch your pimples on your didi. Another thing I was told that can help and is cheap (but can be painful) is applying tea tree oil (buy from any Guardian Pharmacy, etc) on the infected part which promotes healing. Most people use the cream and/or take the tablets. Usual vitamin C tablets and common multi vitamins also help to promote healing.

Bro, don't get too worried. Just make sure that you wash your hands (no need 10 times lar!!) before you play with your kids

Re: Genital herpes Positive - My worst Valentine gift. Don't know how I got it.

heatingup,

1) dont worry, herpes wont kill u. Its like oral herpes but just that this lies in ur dick.

2) based on ur encounter, yes.. they was a chance u got it from ur chionging.. HOWEVER, from what I learn about herpes it is very very seldom HSV-2 get from mouth to dick/dick to mouth. In theory it does, but practically its much more difficult for it to happen.

As a receiving end of a oral sex (ie bj), u are at the risk of HSV-1. Here's why: when a person giving bj to a HSV-2 +ve person, her mouth will get the virus but HSV-2 does not like to stay in month area for unknown reason to many health professional. Therefore the virus does not shed and tranmission from there on is much much harder (see this HSV 2 risk from recieving brief oral sex - STDs - MedHelp , look at the doc's reply)

Ppl who get HSV2 normally engage in unprotected anal or vergina sex.

Since you have protected BJ, the chances of HSV2 infection is pretty much slim.. even people get BBBJ risk mostly HSV1 infection and HSV2 is rather uncommon (but still possible). But knowing u are protectec, you shld access the other possibilities of u getting it.

what i am saying is HSV2 via oral is possible in theory, but many reliable website such as Medhelp did say that they never seen once that happens

So with ur history you posted in the 1st post, it seem you are more likely expose to HSV1 and genital warts (due to unprotected area by comdon).

Not to bring up any problem, and I am also glad ur marriage is saved. But did you ever think there might me a mild chance u got it from your wife? i mean she might be faithful, but how about times BEFORE your marriage?

as for woman, herpes is much more assymtomatic in Woman then man... so she might not hv known it if she got it prior knowing u (general health chk dont chk herpes types also).

I am no doctor, but i read a lot about herpes and i asked some doctors also... I still can be wrong.. but I am posting this to highlight what I understands about herpes tranmission, hope you dont mind.. not trying to pour oil into fire but I think you and everyone deserve to know

more reading to understand herpes 1 and 2 and their difference:

Re: Genital herpes Positive - My worst Valentine gift. Don't know how I got it.

Dear all,

Pls help.

I saw blisters on my kid's left hand last week and I thought nothing of it. Today I encountered this website containing herpes pictures on arm and hand and jumped up!

Herpes Pictures

Then I took several pictures of my kid's left hand and posted the best one here. I also saw similar but less severe blisters on my kid's right hand.

Do anyone think I have unknowingly passed herpes to my innocent one?
I am so worried.

I am thinking of bringing him to see a GP but i have to tell the doc I am suffering from HSV 2. Very embarrassing and awkward.

Any opinion and suggestion?
