Five-day holiday for Songkran

The cabinet on Tuesday resolved that April 12-16 would be the official public service holiday for this year's Songkran celebrations, deputy government spokesman Chalitrat Chantharubeksa said.

Mr Chalitrat said that Friday, April 12, was made an additional holiday because Songkran Day falls on a Saturday, April 13.

Allowing the Songkran holiday to run for five consecutive days would enable people to travel to their hometown in time to celebrate Songkran, and help reduce traffic which is usually very heavy during the festival.

All take note... 3rd March is Bangkok Governor election day. Check with your local AGG if they would be closed or not. Last election I forgot shops no sell alcohol... pom arom sia

I'll be heading to BKK alone on the 23rd of Feb, and will be there till 1st Mar

Intending to stay in Silom area,

Would appreciate if Bros could introduce decent hotels which are girl friendly.

If u are on budget, stay in hotel or go MBK walk around. If u still want to look for FL, do a search in this thread or use google.

Basically, if the election is the 3rd, they will stop selling alcohol at entertainment places by 12am of the 3rd. Some places may close even earlier.

But this being bangkok, some places dun give a damn so need to check with the place u wanna go....

Big room 860 baht,small room 560 baht. At night nothing to do can be like me sit down at the minimart drink beer with the residents there and disturb the working girls when they came back from work or party. Web site later I help u ask see they have anot.
