FLs got feet to move around , loh !!!.
RM50 was cheaper than paying RM90-100 for a 1 shot from the office, loh !!!.
Sure, there are hotels available during Songkran in Sg. Golok.
Try Thaksin 1 and 2 and other cheaper hotels. Hehehe !!!.
of course they have feet... but they also have many friends
of cos it is cheaper if can be found but if only 1 shot.. hehe... if overnight it can be as many as 4 or 5
hmm thanks... wasn't sure since i've never been to thailand for songkran (let alone sg golok) before...
not even sure where thaksin hotel is... but as long as shelter, a bed, and a power socket I'll survive the weekend...
Good Morning. Need some information about Golok. It has been many years since I last went there. In the 1990's very active in going to Golok with some close friends. Those were the days. Later on became very busy with work n family. Now my friends have suggested that we go down memory lane in Golok. Need a little information.
1. Hotel Plaza - telephone no and do they pickup at thai border
2. Hotel Marina - telephone no and do they pickup at thai border
3. Any hotel that does pickup from thai border
4. Any teksi in rantau panjang who will drive us into golok to hotel ( my group of 4 dont really prefer the bikes)
5. Which area has the best signal for malaysian telco.
Most of the other information i have read from the forum and very well written and lots of information.

Thanks for any information given in advance.
Hotels in Golok such as Plaza, Marina, Genting, Riverra have vans ferrying you to places for ........going back to Malaysia via the immigration area, boat rides across Sungai Golok and back to Malaysia, restaurants somewhere else in town but you need to tell the van driver where you want to go and pay him some tips.
However, i do not have their telephone numbers.
Pickups at the border......depends. The van driver drops off people and goes away. If you are lucky you can get onto the van but van driver will take you to another hotel if you request him to do so but you must tip him.
Best is that you ask teksi drivers in Rantau Panjang to take you across. But you must stamp your passports at Harmony bridge. This can be done as i had travelled to Golok via boat rides, via Harmony bridge ( using passport ), and with retailers in motorbikes and cars driving me across Harmony bridge ( without stamping the passport ) for eats, dinners, etc.
Telco lines strong near the border. You can stay in Genting, Marina hotels. Reasonably strong in Plaza and Merlin hotels. Telco lines fluctuates in Riverra and hardly any lines in Intercontinental Hotel.
