Just returned from JB. Changed SGD$1.00-MYR$2.49. Not bad though. My usual exchanger behind Merlin Tower.

Was at Sim Lim Square (SLS) after Saturday OT when my buddy smsed me saying he want to go JB for car wash, petrol & food. As his missus & daughters are coming along, there were no other program. Hahaha.

Anyway SLS doesn't seem to be the kind of place people go to change currency but there is a money changer on the ground floor near an extrance that offers very decent rates (in my opinion) for people who are in the area & do not plan to change large quantities.


SGD$1 : RM 248 (for below $500).
SGD$1 : RM 249 (for above $500).

i think the best rate is still at JB last nite i change 249.20 after u enter the malaysia custom u will pass by a shell station after the shell station there is a row of money changer the 1st counter that is nearest to the car wash they alway offer the best. but use only smallest $50 note in jb if u still $10 note the exchange rate is very lousy.
