Man Utd accept Real Madrid's £80m Ronaldo bid

Manchester United have accepted an £80m offer from Real Madrid for Cristiano Ronaldo.

A statement on the United website confirmed that a deal for the 24-year-old should be completed by the end of the month.

''Manchester United have received a world-record, unconditional offer of £80million for Cristiano Ronaldo from Real Madrid.

''At Cristiano's request - who has again expressed his desire to leave - and after discussion with the player's representatives, United have agreed to give Real Madrid permission to talk to the player.

''Matters are expected to be concluded by 30 June. The club will not comment until further notice.''

Ronaldo has long been a target for the Spanish giants, whose president Florentino Perez vowed earlier this week to do ''everything possible'' to take the 24-year-old to the Bernabeu

I think Man U has got the worth out of Ronaldo already. He is too lacklustre with his recent performances. There are many more talents out there and I believe Ferguson has enuff of his nonsense year-in year-out. Moreover, the Man U academy has lots of young talent in waiting.

An advise for Ronaldo though:
It is good to have the showmanship, but the most important fact is getting the job done with the simpliest thing in life, remember Eric Cantona-he does the special showman pieces with ease and grace (not with trying too hard like Ronaldo, which Ronaldo can't blame people for viewing him as arrogant, he just wanted too much attention), then you are consider great.

Good for you Man U & Ferguson, use this $$$ to groom more talent.

Hopefully, it will help Spurs in someway, like prying some talents to join them.

would love to see Ribery in red next season. But his price tag to hefty..

Bring in Hunterlaar or Benzema..

Van Der Vaart would also be a great addition! since real already got Ronaldo and Kaka in mid..

Why stop a travelling man? His heart and mind not in Old Trafford anymore and let's cash in when the deal's to be had. Look at Ronaldo's body language towards the tail end of the season. Now Real must make things happen next season. If not it will be fire sale. Pity the Dutch contingent in Real though...Robben, Huntelaar, Van Nistelrooy, etc..clear stock time!
