Iraq Vs New Zealand

As you know it Iraq need a win desperately to qualify for the semi-final and judging from the way they play against South Africa and Spain I believe it is not impossible in fact am confident Iraq will win tomorrow. However the question on everyone’s mind is will the win be enough to put them through to the Semi Final? Although I would very much like to see an Asian team go through I must say it’s not going to happen not here at least. Iraq is an impressive team and I have no doubt they will win this game but I doubt they will be able to put scoreline beyond New Zealand’s doubt. Am sure Iraqi coach Bora Milutinovic whom have done a fine job with this team would deploy an attacking formation and would want to push the players forward to capitalize on New Zealand’s leaky defence. New Zealand coach Riki Herbert on the other end however will have to adopt a counter attack style in order to cope with the marauding Iraqis.

I say Iraqis will win this game no doubt but the scoreline remain questionable, don’t expect an avalanche of goals since New Zealand themselves do not want to go down in history as the team that never scored like it was for Canada in 2001 and Greece in 2005.
Expect an exciting match with the scoreline of 1-0 or 2-1.
