Hmm.. whiplash sounds good to me!

Anyway. I didnt feel much for this defeat..
Somehow its like no problem to lose.. No point wasting time on this Mickey Mouse Cup...

I am more concern about the debts the fxxking Yankees created and drag Liverpool through shit...

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

The match was forgettable. As the commentator said, we look like a bunch of strangers playing together in the Liverpool jersey. The defence was in array, the central midfield has no playmaker or anyone to pull the strings. Our goalie looked uncertain and I wonder if he is hampered by language difficulties in commanding the defence. The marking was non-existent and Spurs can dribble 10,20 metres in our half without any liverpool player harassing him for the ball.

Degen looks lightweight. Dossena's defensive positioning and footing is suspect. Agger looks uncertain as the central midfielders didn't protect the central defenders. Lucas is definitely not in the playmaker mould. Not commanding at all. Plesis didn't even chase for the ball when he lost it and it lead to Spurs's 4th goal.

On the good side, Babel looks hungry though. Torres is getting sharper. So glad we didn't sell Alonso. I think 19 year old Ngog can be some player if he improves further.

I'm quite worried about our finances. The 2 yankees bought our club for $300 million pounds? and then mortgaged our club to raise (i think for $150 million pounds) to pay David Moores. That David is the dumbest ass in Anfield, for all the troubles he took to find a 'suitable' buyer, he ended up with 2 liars. If that's the way to run a club, he could have just mortgaged us himself and remain the owner.

Now that we are in the running for the title, if we need to sell players in January to refinance the debt, it's likely our first real title challenge in years will fizzle out. I think DIC is affected by the financial crisis too. Wonder who will bail us out...

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Disappointing result against Spurs, defensive mistakes let them down.
Those reserve team players were playing terrible. Not sure why they perform so badly but anyway it is just the League Cup, what we want is the Premiership title.
It is the bread & butter for Liverpool FC. We haven't been in this type of situation for so long & it's about time that we lay our hands on the trophy.
This weekend's game against Bolton, they will face the backlash of Liverpool & Liverpool will win comfortably.

Don't count on it...the match against Bolton, this might just be the banana skin for Liverpool...cos they have never played well against that like to impose themselves psychically and Bolton so happens to be one of those teams..

May not be the case leh. I think he minds the result because there aren't many competitive matches he can give to his 2nd stringers. Rafa was complaining about Degen's penalty to the 4th official. If we were given a penalty and scored, it would have been 4-3 with about 10 mins to go. The Degen penalty is confusing. The Spurs player tackled Degen without getting the ball. Why isn't that a penalty? To add insult to injury, Degen was injured as a result.

I think we'll be ready for Bolton. 3-0 victory.

i mind d result! was so angry when i saw d results in CNA. mayb i have too much pride for Pool. gettin beaten by Spurs twice within few wks was quite an insult. i was hoping they beat Spurs, even with 2nd stringers. But sad reality, our quality n depth is nt there yet.

agree wif u hands n legs bro. i rate bolton as d kind of team who play unpredictable football, like boro or AV. on their day, they can beat gd teams. as wenger had complained on their intimidating, physical football which they hustle n bustle their opponents.

with torres expected to b bk with keane, hope they wont step into anthr, unneccessary potential banana skin!

Torres looked off the pace against Spurs and gave the ball away gazillion times. He will need better support from Stevie and Keano against Bolton

Re: Liverpool Fc Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

RAFA NAMED MANAGER OF THE MONTH
Rafa Benitez has today been named Barclays Manager of the Month for October.
The Reds enjoyed four straight league victories in October which soar them soar to the top of the Premier League table.

A thrilling comeback from 2-0 down at Manchester City was followed by another 3-2 victory at home to Wigan before the Reds travelled to Chelsea to memorably end the home side's unbeaten run at Stamford Bridge.

The month ended with another victory at home to Portsmouth, with Steven Gerrard sealing the points with a late penalty.

"I am really pleased to receive this on behalf of my staff because they are doing very well. People like Sammy Lee, Mauricio Pellegrino, Xavi Valero and Paco Di Miguel," said Benitez today.

"It's important for the staff and it's important because it means the team is playing well - you can't win Manager of the Month unless the team is winning.

"It means the club is in a good position. Hopefully we can receive more awards like this because it means we'll be in a good position at the end of the season."

hope this is an good omen and not a bad one.
cos normally whenever a manager gets one,the team does not perform well.
hope we do not fall into this category.
