of cos wont sell casillas lar..but hor to drag him into part exchange will make the deal more difficult to go through lor...then either they cant buy ronaldo (since we dun wanna sell him also) or they will have to pay 80 million pounds instead of the rumoured 67 million pounds...

Ferguson to lead GB?
Lord Sebastian Coe has said he has spoken to Sir Alex Ferguson about him taking charge of a Great Britain football team at the London Olympics. Coe, London 2012 Organising Committee chairman, said he had discussed the matter with the Manchester United boss. "I would love to have him there because he is a phenomenal coach and a great man manager," he told BBC Radio 5 Live. "Who else would you want to have that mentoring role with under 23 players for a build-up to the games?" He added: "We have had a few conversations, but I stress that it is for the British Olympic Association and the Football Association to make that judgement and I leave it with them." The inclusion of a Great Britain football team at the London Games has sparked a lot of controversy with the FA's of Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland concerned it may compromise their individual status within Fifa. President of football's world governing body, Sepp Blatter, has said it would be better for GB to enter a team featuring players from just England to avoid such a scenario. But as it is the BOA who select teams for the Games, they have decided to press ahead with plans to include a football team despite the opposition. And Coe believes Ferguson, who has said he will quit his post at Old Trafford within the next three years, would be the perfect candidate to lead the team. During his time at United Ferguson has won 10 Premier League titles, five FA Cups, two League Cups, two Champions League titles, the European Cup Winners' Cup and the European Super Cup.

Ferguson 'embarrassed' for Spurs
Ferguson has been linked with Berbatov for some time Sir Alex Ferguson says Tottenham face "embarrassment" for complaining to the Premier League over Manchester United being linked to Dimitar Berbatov. A national newspaper quoted the United manager as saying he expected to sign Bulgaria striker Berbatov, 27. But Ferguson denied the reports, saying: "I don't know where they got those quotes from, it wasn't from me. "It's going to be very embarrassing for Spurs because the complaint appears to be on the basis of a story in a paper." Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy accused United of being hypocritical, given that the European Champions reported Real Madrid to governing body Fifa because they believed the Spanish champions were publicly courting Portugal winger Cristiano Ronaldo. And the chairman said both United and Liverpool, who reportedly want to sign Spurs captain Robbie Keane, had behaved disrespectfully. Levy said on Friday: "The public comments by Manchester United's manager, announcing that he has made an offer for Dimitar and is confident that the deal will go through with time working in their favour, is a blatant example of sheer arrogance and interference with one of our players." Speaking after United's 1-1 draw against Kaizer Chiefs in a Cape Town friendly, Ferguson added: "It's embarrassing for them but you know what Daniel Levy is like. He's different. "It's something to ask chief executive David Gill about because I haven't really spoken to him about it because I've been preparing for the match."

Sporting: Star duo not for sale
Sporting Lisbon have warned the Premier League suitors of Joao Moutinho or Miguel Veloso that they have no intention of selling the pair. The Portuguese outfit have seen both men strongly linked with summer moves away from Estadio Jose Alvalade, but have made it clear that neither is for sale. Reports had suggested that Everton were closing in on a deal for playmaker Moutinho, while Manchester United have been long-term admirers of holding midfielder Veloso. However, the Premier League duo have been made aware that they would be wasting their time should they decide to make a move for the Portugal internationals. "The squad is closed for this season and we have received no offers for Joao Moutinho or Miguel Veloso," Sporting president Soares Franco told radio station RTP. "The two players are in our squad and we have no need to sell as we are financially secure. "We have secured European football again for next year so have benefited from that. "The squad we have at the moment is preparing to mount a title bid next season."

Exclusive: Manchester United star Cristiano Ronaldo scores with four women in four days
Goal ace Cristiano Ronaldo has been keeping up an amazing scoring rate as he recovers from injury - pulling a string of stunning girls in just days. The crocked Manchester United star has proved a huge hit with female fans during a relaxing sunshine trip to Los Angeles. Despite splitting with Spanish beauty Nereida Gallardo last week the perma-tanned hunk has wasted no time getting back in the mood for romance, notching up at least three flings in less than a week. And that's not counting the shapely actress called Jen that we reported him partying with in his hotel room at 2am earlier in the holiday. Ronaldo, 23, met Girl No1, a striking brunette named Nicole, while sitting by the pool at the high-class Beverly Hills Hotel last Thursday - and immediately seemed smitten. On Friday the couple made their first public appearance together, at exclusive nightspot Villa. Ronaldo and his entourage joined other VIP guests including Leonardo DiCaprio and Christina Aguilera's husband Jordan Bratman. The Portuguese footballer was immediately escorted upstairs to a private booth - and he was soon joined by Nicole. A source said: "His face lit up the moment he saw her - and they seemed inseparable for the rest of the night." At least a dozen other young girls hovered around, desperately trying to catch his eye. One even offered him a lap-dance for him, while another thrust her ample chest in his face and whispered seductively in his ear. But Ronaldo just kept chatting to Nicole, stroking her face and laughing raucously at her jokes. The star's pals racked up a £6,000 bill guzzling Perrier Jouet champagne, Kettle One vodka and Johnny Walker Black Label whisky. But Ronaldo did not touch a drop. The source said: "He was obviously mindful of his health and stuck to water and fruit juices." At around 3.20am, Cristiano decided to leave - but went to great lengths to ensure he was not pictured with his new girlfriend. The next day she was at his side, gazing at his rippling muscles as he topping up his tan near the pool. But it didn't take long for Ronaldo's eye to start wandering again. As he neared the end of his LA visit he suddenly turned his attentions to two buxom blondes. He and a group of friends had hired a white stretch Hummer to take them to open-air nightspot the Sky Bar when they were joined by a Victoria Silvestedt-lookalike. The source said: "She was very 'LA' - you know, huge chest, peroxide hair and tight dress. She seemed a bit obvious, but Cristiano certainly seemed to enjoy her company." The pair were later joined by the mystery blonde's equally voluptuous friend and spent two hours chatting before all three staged yet another elaborate escape plan. The blondes left 20 minutes before the star's posse. Ronaldo arrived back at the hotel at 2.45am - and waited in reception. He was grinning broadly as the girls arrived five minutes later. Our source said: "The girls didn't look like they were guests at the hotel. Ronaldo said something to them that made them giggle and they all walked - or rather hopped - off in the direction of his room." Just minutes earlier, Ronaldo's former flame Nicole, who had not been out with him that night, was seen wandering through the lobby with a friend. The source added: "Heaven knows what was going on. But Ronaldo is obviously a man who likes to keep his options open."

Re: Manchester United's Headliners, Articles and Rumours
Premier League - Fergie: Ron Real move 'mistake'
Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has told Cristiano Ronaldo that joining Real Madrid would be "the worst thing he could do". Ferguson feels the 23-year-old winger needs to stay at Old Trafford if he is to grow as a player. However, Ronaldo has refused to commit himself to the club and Real Madrid continue to court him, even though they were reported to FIFA by United. Ferguson remains clearly unhappy about the situation and for the second time on the South African tour found himself fielding questions about a player who scored 42 goals last season. He said: "I have a responsibility for all my players and their futures are a big concern for a coach. "If you were asking advice and it was your son, you'd give him the best advice possible on his career. "I honestly believe that could be the worst thing he could do; going to Real Madrid. "He's 23 years old and he's at a fantastic football club. It's the best for him." Ronaldo signed a long-term deal last season in which United won the Champions League and retained their Premier League title. He is currently sidelined for three months after an ankle operation following the European Championships. Ferguson reiterated that he expects Ronaldo to play a massive role again next season. He said: "The future is he signed a five-year contract last year and he has four years left. "That's definite. I know that, I've seen his signature. I feel I'm being strapped in and crucified here! "Young lads can be twisted by the talk of money and the moves that are happening all the time in modern-day football. "After the final in Moscow he was the happiest boy in the world. I think he knows genuinely where the best club is to be and that's Manchester United."
