Meizhou is a 3rd or even 4th line city in Guangdong, and more local type of environment here.

Yes I saw this thread, there are activities here but quite localized city not in the pearl river delta area...

not much foreign investments here so not many foreigners here...

Home to Hakka people. Nothing much here as this place is a cultural centre for the Hakkas. The best way is to get a local driver to bring you around (hire from hotel) to local places.

Locals speak putonghua and richer/classier Meixian Hakkas dialect which is different from Singapore's Dabu Hakkas dialect.
