Cannot compare like that one. GL is GL, HC is HC. Set up is different. Operational procedure also different. If want to compare, we can also ask why S'pore is more expensive then in neighbouring countries??? Whatever it is, market price apply. Also money is in your own hands. How and where you want to spend it, is all up to U.
