Only saw the highlights our goalkeeper really out of position. Don't know what he was looking at.

Referee kelong it was never a red card. The Basel player really good at acting and took a dive. Markovic at most should have been yellow carded it was never dangerous play. The Basel player SHOULD have been redcarded instead.

Sadly I don't see Henderson able to replace SG. AT least SG is good at free kicks ; penalty kicks ; those accurate long diagonally passes to pick up the forward players & his goals. Sadly I think this will be the last match he will appear in Champions League.

Jordan was once scouted by Manchester United.
This lad has a talent which pulled Sir Alex but his running style was a put off and therefore the move to Old Trafford never materialized.
He is best played in a forward role or number 10 where he once thrived at Sunderland.
Liverpool destroyed him by allowing him to play deeper and deeper.
Pierre.

The only good thing I see in him is his tireless running in midfield. Sometimes even helping SG out in DM duties. Ever since he was appointed vice-captain for Liverpool his form begins to drop. If he were to replace SG some day in the future , he needs to have some of SG's specialised skills. Eg like taking freekicks and penalty kicks. He also needs to provide more assists for his fellow team mates.
Some of the players ' form had been dropping :
1) Mignolet : Nobody to compete with him.
2) Sterling : Due to contract talks still ongoing.
3) Coutinho : Ever since he got called up for national duty
4) Lovren : Maybe the red t-shirt too big for him to handle.
5) SG : Age is catching with him and he is not playing in his favourite role
6) Johnson : Erratic performance. Sometimes good sometimes bad.
7) Mario : What else can be said about him since already so much had already been said.

Btw just trying to carry on keeping it light for a Thursday, did not know the Swiss could be cheeky and have a sense of humour?! After Basel got through, there was a cheeky carricature of 1 Chelsea player and 1 Spurs player supporting a Liverpool player, singing "You'll never walk alone", reflecting the fact that Basel have beaten all 3 EPL clubs in European football competitions!

I got your meaning...Gary Neville was sarcastic towards both clubs...he is now working as football pundits...but he is still entitled to his own opinion...both clubs are not on form now...think Pool is worst...

In his 3rd season with Liverpool he still does not have a Plan B , he still clueless about defending. Wrong selection of players this season. Yup he was lucky last season as he got SAS. I am still waiting to see when will he play Borini and Brad Jones and Sakho.

If he had wanted to get rid of them at least get a replacement in before letting them go.
This is going to be a difficult season for Liverpool and us haiz.

Agreed that br tactics this season is damm funny... time to go???? Anyway it's the tactics that br used made the players confusing. This season he want to curb the leaky defence but it got worse. Now even the attackers also become impotent. Haiz. .......
Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings
If you study the current EPL table closely, it is clear that Liverpool's attack now is very much impotent, like you said. All the goals from last season have literally dried up!
Wonder whether its worth going for a false #9 against United this weekend, drop Lambert to the bench, and play Sterling, Lallana and Coutinho in attack with Gerrard just behind them, leaving say Lucas and Henderson to hold the line in front of the back four?
