Lee Hsien Loong was born in 1952 with silver spoon and pampered by his parents since young age. However his mid life crisis and hardship only started when he was turning into his 60 with the incidents below:

At age 56, while his dearest mom was lying motionless on the bed, Lehman crisis unfold and his dearest wife Ho Ching squandered billions of dollars of Singaporeans hard earned saving from series of bad executed investment decision.

His mid life crisis and hardship started at age 58 when his dearest mommy Kwa Geok Cho died in 2 Oct 2010. This mummy boy suddenly grew up and lost his listening ears as his childhood sweet heart Dr Wong Ming Yang was also died many years ago.

At age of 59, it was his first time to make a public apology to his voters in Raffles Place for many public policy mismanagements such as public housing, public transportation, shortages of beds in public hospital, rising cost of living etc.

At age 61, many netizens noticed that his beloved papa and mentor Lee Kuan Yew was physically frail and he was unable to control his mouth and let his mouth ajar for many minutes.

Lee Kuan Yew was lucky in the 60s when he had a team of dedicated Singaporeans who supported him and planned for him such as Goh Keng Swee and Toh Chin Chye. Lee Kuan Yew also purged some of his colleagues such as Lim Chin Siong which had contributed greatly to Singapore.
