check in alone, so they are force to let u check in with 1 ic. only issue i have is when u ask for 2nd key, most will give u, but some will tell u that they will only issue a 2nd key if they have a 2nd person registered.

then if u walk by front desk and they ask, just say ic in the room, or something then u come down later and register, and just forget.

frankly, most of the time the front desk is too busy to care to check if u got the 2nd person registered or not.
