Try Hai O restaurant; it’s a hidden gem within an estate that is not far away from your hotel. Food is good and pricing is extremely reasonable for the Nagoya area. Search for “Hai O” in Google Map, it’ll show up.
Any brother here can guide me how to cheong in Batam? First time here!
Having a business trip at JB tomorrow. Planning on 630pm ferry to Batam, but need to be back on 130pm ferry to JB.
Where should I book my ferry? Is it okay if I buy last minute at the terminal?
Planning to get overnight girl instead.
you need to be back to JB by 1.30pm?.
So, how many hours you would be there ?. bear in mind, JB time zone and Batam time zone is 1 hour different. It means, 1.30pm in JB is equivalent to 12:30 PM in Batam. assuming you need 1 hour to travel from Batam to JB,, so, 11am+ you have to depart Batam. not to mention travel time (on land) to reach ferry station.
Just my input..

From JB, better to travel by Puteri Harbour.
You will reach HarbourBay batam. Nearer to Joints instead of batam centre.
Travelling time is 2hours to reach batam. Almost the same fron Setulang Laut.

It hv been shut down for quite time already, 2 booking joints less then 3 mins walk fm Biz is Kupu2 and Srikandy.
WHAT?
That was one of the oldest and most traditional places in Batam. I will be there soon with a European friend, his first time in Batam, and although KTV and joints are not really my thing, I wanted to take him to Permata Indah to let him have a taste of Batam at night.
Shut down forever? Or remodeling? Do you know anything about them? Thank you.

Well, you win some, you lose some...so long the damage is not into an "overly damaging" situation, then i'm sure given some time, there's sure to have a chance to recoup.
I was just about to tell you go eat the curry epok epok in Swee's...hehehe...3k rupiah each,a must eat for most of my Batam trip.
...but i believe also cannot everyday eat the same thing.
...

The stall isnt discovered by me,i only elaborate it due to it being cheap and taste good. If i dont remember wrong ,it was original discovered by both bro Nescafe and bro Hawkeye. Bro Newyorker discovered the epok epok stall at Astro Hotel,Astro food court (which is very good too).
Come to think of Swee's Curry puff,i was wondering if its able to be brought over to Singapore from Batam? Brought over as in buy a box 10 pieces (or even 2 boxes of 10s) and cross over Singapore custom (during return from Batam).

I’m pretty sure it won’t be an issue lah, it’s only some epok-epok for personal consumption. At worst kena confiscated, rugi 30k rupiah only. Hahaha..
If it helps, I bought and brought 2 boxes to Singapore before. No problem with immigrations on either side.
The only occasion that I had problem bringing back food to Sg is in the year 2011 when my girl insist that I bring back 02 cartons of kampung ayam eggs to boost my already strong sexual prowess. Kena confiscated by Sg immigration due to concerns over bird flu.

I did not understand what is that 2 boxes of food, but I regularly bring from Batam HB to Singapore HF and from HF to Changi nearly 10 kg of fresh fruit in my luggage. I buy fruit to bring to my country, where we have a larger variety, but not tropical fruit. I like mangos and mangiss, above all.
