I have to say though, in all the years of watching football, never have I seen such incompetence from a ref and VAR. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. Paul Tierney should never ref again, to say Jota deliberately slowed down with regards the penalty incident?!...what a clown, that’s the kindest adjective I can use for him.

And don't get me started on that VAR moron Chris Kavanagh. Both penalty(on Jota) and red card(Kane's studs lunge) were clear and obvious so should have been sent to the screen. Both incidents should have then been reversed by the ref. Yet the only one that did was Robbo's swing?!

Moreover, think Spurs should have been down to 9 men by the end of the first half. Kane's challenge was a stonewall penalty no doubt, but Royal was already on a yellow when he shoved Jota down in the penalty box, so Royal should have also been sent off as well.

Klopp's post match comment summed it up nicely, "Before that (Robbo's red card) we thought the VAR official may not be in his office"

Anyways its not the end of the world, we move on.
IS so obvious the VAR ref and ref Paul Tierney are both assholes and sold the match.

Don't be too harsh on Alisson. Those mistakes are part of his game but his excellent skills far outweigh these mistakes. Just unfortunate that this time this mistake cost us 2 points.

Think we missed Fabinho more than we missed Virgil. But no doubt without both at the same time we are inviting big trouble especially against fully fit top coached squads like Spurs, away.

Actually I would played Gomez at RCB and moved Matip up as DM last night. Might have been better as Matip had some DM experience in the Bundesliga. But maybe Gomez still not fully fit to start a PL match?

Thank you very much for being objective Paul

Forgot to say in my earlier post that last night's match was an exciting and entertaining match for neutrals.

I think that is pretty clear that Harry should be sent off earlier for his rash tackle on Robertson.

And Robertson should only get a yellow card.

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

“If Harry Kane's lunge on Andy Robertson isn’t a red card then I’m not sure what is,” Clattenburg told the Daily Mail.

“The tackle is high, it’s above the ankle, studs are showing and it’s late. It didn’t have a good look to it from any angle.

“Andy Robertson sees the challenge coming from Harry Kane. He knows if he leaves his leg planted then there’s a good chance he’ll be getting stretchered out of the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and spending Christmas in a moon boot.

“By jumping out of the way, Robertson avoids serious damage. Kane gets away with his lunge as referee Paul Tierney shows only a yellow, with VAR Chris Kavanagh deciding it was not a clear and obvious error. I’d have shown Kane red."

This is the best match thus far this season.. Really exciting end to end stuff! Kelleher will be a better keeper than Allison in time to come. He's definitely more composed unlike Allison who can give u frightening moments with his ball handling n distributions. Solid performances from Keita n Ox.
What a finale when Taki equalised in the 95min n Jota's winning penalty in the shoot-out!
Can't imagine what BR's reaction would be from being 3-1 up to losing the match!

Re: Liverpool Fc @ Anfield - Reds Supporters Gatherings

Looks like I missed yet another amazing fantastic magical comeback Anfield night

From the highlights and what I read looks like Jota, Naby, Konate and Ox were really good. Kelleher came good in the end, so too Taki even though he missed the pen.

But seems like the motm was the Kop, the Anfield crowd which backed our redmen to the very end

Also the Brodge being the Brodge, a bottler. Also gather Tielemans wasn't that hot after all.

Have to say though January 22 is really going to be a huge test for Klopp and the redmen because we already had to deal with Afcon but now we have more matches as well!

Anyways, let's enjoy this fabulous win and take each game as it comes.

Every angle of Takumi Minamino’s brilliant last-gasp equaliser for Liverpool

SCENES! Jota's winning penalty and Klopp's fist pump celebrations!

Best angle of Jota's celebration on Wednesday night, giving it to them scruffs in the away section.

Love him.

"**** off!"

PS. Sorry guys looks like the link does not work. Anyway bro francined69's post above is similar except it unfortunately does not capture Jota's face giving it to the Leicester fans as I described above. Think as an ex Wolves player Jota has some bantering experience with Leicester fans as both are Midlands clubs.
